July 2 (Thursday)-Austin, TX
Day 1
The Plan: pack during the day, pick up the campers from school and get on the road by 8pm.
The Reality: got email from best friend asking that I please scan and send photos of us to Reunion coordinator (due by July3). Spent the four hours set aside for packing finding photos, cropping, and emailing said photos. Finished dinner at 7pm and the Camp Director started cleaning (and kept finding more things to clean), writing notes for the plant/pet sitter, and packing miscellaneous items. Stopped packing miscellaneous items just because “there was still room in the car”. Ready to begin road trip 2009 at 10.30 pm then went back in to the house eight times for forgotten items. Left Austin at 11.30pm!
The little campers slept the entire trip and Camp Daddy stopped for coffee three times.
